Set in Alamos Town, two deity Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia, are fighting. Ash and his friends take the time to visit the city, but little do they know that another legendary Pokemon, Darkrai, lives there. Assumed to be a threat, Darkrai defends himself from all the trainers (especially ''[[DesignatedHero Ash and his friends]]'') as they try to stop the fighting between Dialga and Palkia.

Alberto had a point. Darkrai's behavior wasn't exactly difficult to misread

Added DiffLines:

* JerkassHasAPoint: Baron Alberto blaming Darkrai for the catastrophic events has some understandable logic given the circumstantial evidence. Darkrai's aggressive behavior, trapping people in nightmares, and cryptic comments didn't help his perception as the bad guy. Even Ash and Co. were skeptical of Darkrai until they heard Tonio's story.

* HateSink: Subverted with Baron Alberto. He has much of the setup, a SmugSnake asshole who follows a long line of movie exclusive human villains especially to contrast the Pokemon who are either secretly good or more akin to animals. When he finally does take an antagonistic role, Alberto becomes a complete comic relief character, and while his pursuit of Darkrai is misguided he's doing it because he thinks it will save the town.
