It ends up getting her and Oakley trapped in the cockpit ([[LaserGuidedKarma and eventually arrested]]) and creates a huge tidal wave that [[spoiler: Latios has to sacrifice his life for.]] Thanks a lot, girl.

Not a trio.

* NiceMeanAndInBetween: Annie is in no way 'nice', but she's easily the better of the duo in terms of morality: she's ambivalent about the use of the DMA to begin with, clearly worried when Oakley starts going DrunkWithPower, horrified when the DMA goes out of control and puts Oakley in danger, and doesn't seem too off-put by the fact Latios is rescued by the heroes. As mentioned under PetTheDog, the fact she has an Espeon shows she clearly cares for it as well, as it only evolves at max happiness.

* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Latios]]. Shocking because every other death in the movies up to this point had been a DisneyDeath.

* MissingTrailerScene: The original Japanese trailer had almost nothing from the final movie. Examples include a reanimated Kabutops skeleton, some sort of red energy monster emerging from the Defense Mechanism, and the gang standing around a glowing Soul Dew INDOORS, with no sign of Latias. Shame - that Kabutops skeleton looked awesome.
** In an interesting case, the trailers also had music that was not used in the movie or included in its soundtrack. It was released on the music's composer in an album a few years later and was the basis for the ending song.

It's revealed Latios spends his time in the Secret Garden watching over the Soul Dew, while Latias just wanders around the city having fun. When something bad does happen, the twins have no clue how to deal with it, not even using offensive moves like Luster Purge or Mist Ball: their only 'strategy' is to turn invisible and slam into their foes at high speed, and [[CurbStompBattle when that's taken away they get utterly stomped.]]
