** The A-Pack is clearly based on the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam0083StardustMemory Dendrobium Orchis]]. While Mobile Suits based on one's from earlier series are a mainstay of the UC timeline, this one in particular actually serves to show the privileged nature of Luio and Co.'s relationship with the government, as the GP series Gundams were never declassified due to the contentious nature of Operation Stardust and the events of the OAV, to the extent the general public is aware of them, are regarded as an insane conspiracy theory even at the time of ''Anime/MobileSuitVictoryGundam'' according to ''Manga/MobileSuitCrossboneGundam Ghost''. Luio's maintenance personnel shooing the Damascus' regular crew away while it's under repair may be partly due to this.

* ContinuityNod: Much like [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn its predecessor]], ''Narrative'' is chock full of references to earlier shows.
** The Phenex's first appearance is in the wreckage of a colony in Side 4, the setting of ''Manga/MobileSuitGundamThunderbolt'''s first arc and the task force hunting it use very similar equipment to both the Federation and Zeon forces there, including large drop tanks, long range gun emplacements mounted on asteroids and a Gundam with detachable armor, boosters, volley fire missiles and other heavy weapons.
** Jona wears an abnormally large pilot helmet that appears to be an upgraded version of Lalah's from the original ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam''.
** The Phenex itself appears to be an evolution of the Blue Destiny series Gundams from the obscure Platform/SegaSaturn game of the same name, which use a dangerous piece of Newtype technology known as the EXAM System that also [[spoiler:contained the soul of a Newtype woman]]. What makes this particularly interesting is that its gold coloring resembles the Hyaku Shiki, which was also said to be a descendant of the BD Gundams, using a simplified version of the EXAM System that didn't require any supernatural elements.

Added DiffLines:

** Tha A-Pack's capture claws are possibly one, if you believe the theory that [[Anime/TurnAGundam all Gundam series are part of the same continuity]]. While they're meant to be based on the Nu Gundam's Fin Funnel beam shield, their triangular yellow beam projectors look almost identical to those used by the Hyperion Gundams in ''Manga/MobileSuitGundamSEEDAstray''.

* AcePilot: Averted with Jona and, uncharacteristically for a [[CharClone Char Clone]], Zoltan. Jona is a largely average pilot and doesn't particularly improve over the course of Narrative, leading to others in the Shezarr Team to wonder why he was given a ''[[SuperPrototype Gundam]]'' of all things. Zoltan is also pretty average, relying primarily on his Newtype equipment and a far cry from the usual fantastic piloting skills of most Char Clones.

''Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative'' (''NT'') is a 2018 anime film in the ''{{Franchise/Gundam}}'' franchise. It is based on the 11th ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn Gundam Unicorn]]'' novel, ''Phoenix Hunting''. The movie premiered on November 30, 2018 and was the first installment in Creator/{{Sunrise}}'s "UC [=NexT=] 0100" project, which covers the events of the next 100 years in the Universal Century timeline after ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack''.

The story is set in UC 0097, one year after the events of ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn'', when the conflict called the "Laplace Incident" led to the dissolution of the Neo Zeon remnant group "The Sleeves". Both the Banshee and Unicorn Gundam were locked away in secrecy while Laplace's Box revealed the original draft of the Universal Century Charter, making the existence of Newtypes public.
