In March 2017, a new film trilogy based on the original series titled ''Anime/EurekaSevenHiEvolution'' was announced. It was released in 2017, 2018, and 2021. Similar to ''Anime/RebuildOfEvangelion'', the films re-tell the story of the anime while adding new material, such as showing The Summer of Love onscreen for the first time, the subject of the first film. The second of these films goes into yet another divergent universe and centers around Anemone, who is the heroine of the story, which has an even closer inspiration drawn from ''Evangelion''. The third film wraps up the trilogy and focuses on the characters, now older, as they deal with the impact of the previous films' events.

An Aesop is no longer a trope. Also tweaked wording

* AnAesop: While they aren't hammered upon, there are a ton of Aesops to be found, most prevalently WarIsHell and ThePowerOfLove. Perhaps the most ubiquitous can be summed up as "[[GrowingUpSucks Growing up sucks]], but [[NeverGrewUp never growing up]] can be so much worse."

* TheUnchosenOne: Holland finally realizes that he is not meant to be the one for Eureka by the time episode 26 rolls around.

* ForcedBath: Gekko State seeks out the wisdom of Master Norb to help enlighten everyone on Renton and Eureka's special relationship, but his reputation precedes him. Holland orders the crew to draw a bath while he's transferring onboard the ship. After introductions are over, they drag him into the bath and wash him down good. In the following scene, he claims he had 50 years of dirt washed off him.

Gender Reveal is an index and indexes can't be linked anywhere besides other indexes and trope descriptions (when appropriate).

* GenderReveal: [[spoiler: The Nirvash, despite being referred to as male for entirity of the series, speaks directly to Renton and Eureka in a female voice in the Finale]].

Trope is now Definition Only

* OffModel:
** A few scenes in the series and movie.
** Prominent in the third opening, thanks to the position, perspective, and environment of the shots. It might've been intentional, given that it was directed by an animator famous for his fluid movement style and weird deformations of the characters.
** Almost the entirety of "Join the Future".

* TransformingMecha: Since the mechs in this series achieve flight by riding waves of energy in the sky they have no control over, almost all of them are capable of transforming into wheeled vehicle modes for land transportation where the waves are too weak to support them. A lucky few still have usable weapons in this state, most prominently Holland's Terminus typeR909. The Nirvash Spec2 can even step up the game by turning into a fighter jet! The only humanoid mechs which don't seem able to transform are the [=TheEND=], the Devilfish, and the Beams's Spearhead SH-101's.[[spoiler:and the Nirvash Spec3.]]
