* KillSteal: Happens to MegaKabuterimon while fighting Puppetmon. MegaKabuterimon had alredy freed WarGreymon from Puppetmon's control, blown away his bullet hammer and injured him to a fair degree; all with a single well placed [[LightningCanDoAnything bolt of lightning]]. Puppetmon's forced to animate his mansion as a distraction and run away, until he runs into MetalGarurumon and Matt, whom he finds he's no longer capable of manipulating. He's promptly shot by the the duo after [[TooDumbtoLive trying to charge them while injured with only an improvised weapon]].

* CripplingOverspecialization: While not exactly crippling, Wargreymon has shades of this. He's smaller, not nearly as tough, and not quite as strong as MetalGreymon and his special technique lacks the destructive power of MetalGreymon's organic nukes. His sole advantage, the Dramon Killers, turn out to be very useful since two of the four Dark Masters are Dramon who are larger, stronger, tougher and capable of even more destructive than MetalGreymon. He still spends the majority of his fight against MetalSeadramon caught in his jaws until Whamon gives his life as a diversion. A small army of Numemon, Andromon, and a power boost from Kari's crest are required to touch Mugendramon, and WarGreymon still only manages a stalemate.

* EliteMooks: Snimon and Tuskmon. Snimon is able to take down Garudamon despite only being an adult level while Tuskmon throws Garurumon around like a ragdoll, forcing Hikari to give herself up to Vamdemon. The second time they clash with three of the Chosen Children who engage the two as a distraction. WereGarurumon opens with a sucker punch to both digimon, which they both shrug off. This time around, Garudamon handles Tuskmon on her own, leaving Zudomon and WereGarurumon to fight the more powerful Snimon. Even after being outnumbered by three digimon each an evolution level higher, they still manage to keep the three digimon and their children tied down long enough for the other children to climb to the top of the Fuji TV Station before they are incapacitated.

** The fact that Devimon, a Devil Digimon, curbstomped six Digimon his own level, and was defeated by Angemon, an Angel Digimon. This happens again later, with Angewomon defeating [=LadyDevimon=].

* FiveManBand[[hottip:*:The role of TheBigGuy is kind of split between different characters; Tai and Sora are very athletic, Joe is the biggest, the digimon do the actual fighting.]]

** The dub didn't cut an instance where Koushiro and Taichi walk in on Mimi ''bathing''.

** In the english dub we have...

* CasualDangerDialog: A lot of which [[LullDestruction wasn't in the original]].

* AwesomebutImpractical: MetalGreymon's Giga Blaster may be the most destructive technique available to the chosen children. It does not account for the the other children and digimon which may be engaged with an enemy. Mimi and Togemon have to leap from TonosamaGekomon's castle which collapses as a result of MetalGreymon's missiles being fired upon TonosamaGekomon. His fight with DeathMeramon in the real world is really where it becomes apparent though, as the two digimon are threatening to topple the Tokyo Tower. MetalGremon has to allow himself to get wrapped in DeathMeramon's burning chains and fling him into clear airspace in order to safely destroy him.

* IWantedToGoBowling: A good chunk of both Mimi and Joe's complaints.

* SpiritBomb: Three times!

* CutAndPasteTranslation / GagDub / {{Woolseyism}}: The Saban dub is overall something of a hybrid in this regard, straddling all three states like you wouldn't believe - but it did definitely know how to be heartbreakingly serious when it had to be, not to mention its general aversion of NeverSayDie.
** The dub was dubbed by the same company who worked on ''SamuraiPizzaCats'' so all the added humor in the dub shouldn't come off as very surprising.

* [[Aesoptinum]]: The Digivices and Crests.

* SpoiledSweet: Mimi was always pretty sweet on the inside but it took awhile for her to become able to show this to others.

* HeyItsThatVoice: In the Japanese version, YuutoKazama voices both Yamato[Matt] and [=MetalSeadramon=].
** [[JunkoTakeuchi Naruto]] is Gomamon
** [[TomokazuSeki Domon Kasshu]] is Ogremon
** HiroakiHirata is Takeru & Yamato's father, [[PantheraAwesome Leomon]], ''and'' the narrator. This is {{Lampshaded}} at least twice in [[AllThereInTheManual the manual]], with Takeru musing that Leomon reminds him of his father in a Japanese novelization and someone's [[BreakingTheFourthWall reaction to the narrator]] being to ask Mr. Ishida if he said something in a RadioDrama.
** AkiraIshida is Wizardmon.
** In the english dub we have...
*** Tai is [[DuelMasters Shobu]] and {{Cyborg009}}.
*** Matt is [[BenTen Kevin]].
*** Sora is [[DannyPhantom Jazz Fenton]].

*** T.K.'s would take up too much space, but yeah...WendeeLee.

Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koushiro, Mimi, Jou, and Takeru (aka Tai, Matt, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, and T.K.) are caught in a mysterious snowfall in the middle of their summer camp. When strange devices fall from the sky, they are sent to another world and meet up with {{Mons}} that somehow know their names and are devoted to protecting them. Fighting stronger and stronger enemies to SaveBothWorlds, the seven children learn why they are the [[TheChosenOne "Chosen Children"]] (aka Digidestineds) and how to become stronger with [[ThePowerOfFriendship the power of their own hearts]]. Later they get a [[SixthRanger new addition]] to their team, Taichi's sister, Hikari (aka Kari).

* CutAndPasteTranslation / GagDub / {{Woolseyism}}: The Saban dub is overall something of a hybrid in this regard, straddling all three states like you wouldn't believe - despite the overall GagDub tone, with LullDestruction and CasualDangerDialogue abounding dub, and its strong tendency to leave DubInducedPlotHole in its wake it did definitely know how to be heartbreakingly serious when it had to be, not to mention its general aversion of NeverSayDie.
