* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The lack of established spelling of character names in the first movie is {{lampshaded}} and parodied with a dying soldier, who writes the word "GRABOVSKI" on a wall with his own blood... only to be corrected by another dying soldier telling him it's spelled with a "W".

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Considering that the character's names are never spelled out in the film (even the credits only list the voice actors, without the character names), their names are often spelled inconsistently. The main character's name has been spelled as Grabowski, Grabovski, Grabowsky, Grabovszky, etc. (the sequel establishes it as "Grabowski", see below). Similarly, even on this wiki we cannot decide whether the blonde rat girl's name is Cookie or Pookie.

But in the last moment, when the mouse leaders are beginning to consider leaving the planet, a new hope rises...

* DeadpanSnarker: Many characters to some degree (Grabowski, the mouse police chief etc.). But the queen of this trope is Pissy (Candy in the Englidh dub). She rarely talks but almost every line she has is snark.

* TheAmazon: The jungle where Lazy Dick's plane crashes. It must be Planet X's equivalent of Central America, as implied by the {{Mayincatec}} pyramids and the bats being Mexican {{Bandit|o}}s.
