* Whenever a season 1 team member that wasn't immediately seen in the season 2 premiere appeared later.
* [[spoiler:Lian Harper exists.]]
* [[spoiler: Bart Allen/Impulse has arrived]], again in an episode appropriately written by Creator/PeterDavid.
** [[spoiler:In the same episode that Wally returned as Kid Flash, and Jay Garrick appeared as the original Flash, in a team-up with all four of the Flashes]]. Needless to say, with [[spoiler:[[DemotedToExtra DC's treatment of Wally following]] [[BackFromTheDead Barry's return in]] ''ComicBook/FinalCrisis'' and the events of ''Comicbook/{{Flashpoint}}'' seemingly erasing Wally's tenure as a superhero from existence, the episode in general was very well received by fans of the Flash family]].
* And as of the SDCC 2012 trailer, [[spoiler: we've got Static and Deathstroke, Artemis in a Tigress costume, and possibly Black Beetle, who has been reworked to be a part of the Reach]].
* Fans rejoiced and wailed at the same time with the revelation that [[spoiler: Jason Todd exists...and already died]].
* [[spoiler: Arsenal]] makes his first appearance on tv!
* [[spoiler: Stephanie Brown]] also makes her TV debut.
* The one time the fandom did not rejoice? When Cartoon Network preempted Before the Dawn and then cheerfully informed fans that the show would not air again until January of 2013.
** That said, the fandom did rejoice when, due to the hastiness of their decision and the fact that they didn't tell anyone else, iTunes still put the episode up as scheduled, and it peaked at #2 on the sales charts and was allowed to spread over the web. They pulled it, but it's now accessible for anyone who wants to see it.

* "Intervention" was a tribute to the legacy of the Blue Beetle, mentioning both Dan Garett and Ted Kord. [[spoiler:In addition, the Scarab showing his respect for Jaime once taken off Reach control. Khaji Da, anyone?]]
* Fans flipped when [[OutOfFocus Wally]] appeared in "Summit"
** In addition, the Light [[spoiler: finally gets OutGambitted.]]
* [[spoiler: G.Gordon is Apokoliptan, and the Light's new partner is Darkseid.]] Even if you know this story line will sadly go nowhere, the fact that [[spoiler:Darkseid]] managed to get an appearance is worth rejoicing.

* The sixth episode of the third season unveils two recognizable characters named [[spoiler: [[BackFromTheDead Jason Todd]]]] and [[spoiler: Damian Wayne]]

A reprisal is a retaliatory attack; the correct name is Role Reprise.

* "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!" features the return of Kilowog and Razer, whose' designs and [[RoleReprisal voice actors]] are the same as they were in ''WesternAnimation/GreenLanternTheAnimatedSeries''. There are even call backs to that series putting [[BroadStrokes most of it in canon.]]

* News of who were serving in the production of the show, and the image of the show's first promotional poster.
* Oh, they are making a new animat... Holy crap, Creator/GregWeisman is producing (and writing)!
* To a lesser extent, Brandon Vietti's involvement in the show as producer sparked excitement from those who were familiar with his directing ''WesternAnimation/BatmanUnderTheRedHood''.
* Creator/BruceGreenwood got a pretty good appraisal for his [[WesternAnimation/BatmanUnderTheRedHood previous voice work as Batman]] (some have gone so far to measure him against Creator/KevinConroy) and is apparently voicing him again for whenever he appears in this series.
* Creator/PeterDavid, the man who wrote almost all the issues of ''Comicbook/YoungJustice'', is on board to write for the series.
* [[http://phillybee.deviantart.com/ Phil Bourassa]] had a good reception for the character designs he produced for ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueCrisisOnTwoEarths''. Once it was announced that he would be one of the main character designers for this show, a lot of fans were happy.
* Secret appearing in an episode appropriately written by Creator/PeterDavid. She's the first such ''Young Justice'' comics member to appear in the show -- if one doesn't count Superboy, since his cartoon characterization is drawn from his later ''Comicbook/TeenTitans'' days and much unlike his [[FunPersonified earlier self]].
* Fans of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' were excited when they found out Garfield Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy was going to appear.
* Superman warming up to Superboy in the end of Season 1.
* There was much rejoicing when it was revealed that [[ComicBook/BlueBeetle Jaime Reyes]] would join in Season 2.
* Tim Drake coming in as the new Robin while Dick grew up to become Nightwing.
* Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark) ''finally'' being used in a DC animated show. Like Tim Drake and Superboy -- and unlike most of the cartoon team -- she was in the original ''Comicbook/YoungJustice'' comics, all the more reason for some fans to rejoice. (At the same time the original Wonder Girl, Donna Troy, is in ''WesternAnimation/SuperBestFriendsForever'').

* Darkseid has been confirmed.

* [[http://www.newsarama.com/31904-animated-young-justice-returning-for-third-season.html They're coming back, baby!]]
* Like the second season, the third season will have a new name. What is it? Young Justice: '''OUTSIDERS'''!
** Confirmed for Season 3: [[http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2017/07/Young-Justice-Outsiders1-720x465.jpg Spoiler and Arrowette!]]
** Hey its Nightwing, but who is he talking to? Did-did he say "Oracle"?! YES! We're getting Oracle for a whole season, instead of one episode of The Batman and a stinger for those who kept watching "The Killing Joke" after the unrelated, unneeded prequel no one asked for.
** More characters and stuff confirmed for Season 3 up to Comic Con: Katana, Geo-Force, Livewire, Terra, Orion, Metamorpho, Forager, Batman versus Bane, Sensei and Lobo are back and fighting, Black Spider and Brick return, Cheshire and the Forever People!
** And not just that Kaldur this time in this new season instead of returning as Aqualad [[https://ew.com/tv/2018/12/20/young-justice-first-look-new-aquaman/ he will become the new Aquaman succeeding Arthur Curry]]
** [[ComicBook/{{Batgirl}} Cassandra Cain]] is in the most recent trailer! No Bat-embargo for Cass due to the live-action Birds of Prey movie!!!!
* The sixth episode of the third season unveils two recognizable characters named [[spoiler: [[BackFromTheDead Jason Todd]]]] and [[spoiler: Damian Wayne]]
** The eighth episode introduces [[spoiler: Vandal Savage's daughter, Cassandra]], as well as out of nowhere attack from none other than [[spoiler: STARRO THE CONQUEROR]], with [[spoiler: Kalibak]] making his first proper appearance as well.

* The season 3 second half trailer revealed the return of Amanda Waller and what may just be the Suicide Squad featuring the Black Manta, Mallah, and the YJ debut of Captain Boomerang.
** The June promo for the same period also revealed the debut of Big Barda.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMOCSQhr72A The show has been renewed for a fourth season.]]
