*** J'onn's brother's name is slightly altered from Ma'alefa'ak to Malefic.
*** Fifth-dimensional imp Gsptlsnz has her name changed to Nyxlygsptlnz, or "Nyxly" for short.

** "Prince Charming" is more of a generic title, [[Literature/SnowWhite the original story]] doesn't necessarily have a name for him at all. In Disney's ''WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs'', he's [[AllThereInTheScript never named onscreen]] (if it comes up, the name is Ferdinand). However, in the television show, the prince's actual given name is James, and "Prince Charming" is just something Snow White ''calls'' him, sarcastically at first and then genuinely.

*** [[spoiler:Daisy Johnson]] is rechristened "Skye" for the first season and a half before her father reveals her birth name. It's also mentioned that she used to go by the name "MarySue [[FandomNod Poots]]" while growing up in an orphanage. [invoked]

* ''Series/ThePrincessWeiYoung'': In the novel Wei Yang's stepmother's maiden name is Jiang and her personal name isn't revealed. The series renames her Chiyun Rou.

** Comicbook/{{Raven}}'s mother is named Angela Azarath instead of Angela Roth.

** In ''Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier'', Sarah Wilson's sons are named AJ and Cass. In the comics, she only has one son named Jody.

Many characters' names get changed from the source material to a Live-Action television series. Or even from one {{reboot}} to the next.

*** Dinah Laurel Lance goes by [[MiddleNameBasis Laurel]] Lance.
*** Laurel's father, Detective Larry Lance, is Detective Quentin Lance, though his middle name is acknowledged as Larry.

*** In Season 2, Nyssa Raatko is introduced as Nyssa Al-Ghul (from ''Comicbook/RasAlGhul'').
*** Michael Holt/Mr Terrific is Curtis Holt.

*** The Fiddler's name is changed from Isaac Bowen to Izzy Bowen.
*** Spin was only known as "Mr. Auerbach" in the comics (his first name was never given), while in the show, her real name is Spencer Young.
*** [[spoiler: Barry and Iris' daughter is named [[DeadGuyJunior Nora]] instead of Dawn, though some people speculated that Dawn is her middle name instead. She's also a name change from Jenni Ognats, as she uses XS as her superhero identity, making her a CompositeCharacter]]. In the 100th episode, [[spoiler: the Reverse Flash calls her Dawn, implying that was her name in the original timeline that he came from, making it an InUniverse example]].

*** In ''Series/TheSecretsOfIsis'', the title character's real name was Andrea Thomas. The comics {{Race Lift}}ed her as a [[{{Qurac}} Khandaqi]] named Adrianna Tomaz. Here, she's an Arab-American called Zari Adrianna Tomaz.

** The BigBad of the ''Elseworlds'' {{Crossover}} is called Dr John Deegan, but seems to be the Arrowverse counterpart of Dr Destiny, whose real name in the comics is John Dee.

** Helena Wayne (from ''{{Comicbook/Huntress}}'') goes by "Helena Kyle" due to a combination for her parents (Batman and Catwoman) not being married in the series prior to her mother's death and being pissed off at her father for leaving.
** Dinah Drake Lance (from ''ComicBook/BlackCanary'') is renamed "Carolyn". Likewise, Dinah Laurel Lance (from same) goes by her adopted last name; "Redmond".

* ''Series/WandaVision'': Django and Marya Maximoff are renamed Oleg and Irina Maximoff.

* ''Series/WonderWoman1975'': In [[ComicBook/WonderWoman the comics]], Steve Trevor's superior officer is named Phillip Darnell, here he's named Philip Blankenship.

* ''Series/Dracula2020'': Abraham Van Helsing from ''{{Literature/Dracula}}'' becomes [[spoiler:''Agatha'' Van]] Helsing in the TV show.

* ''Series/BirdsOfPrey'':

*** In the comics, Prometheus' true name has never been revealed. In the series, it turns out to be [[spoiler: Adrian Chase, as he's a CompositeCharacter]].

* ''Series/TheIncredibleHulk'': This TV adaptation of [[Comicbook/IncredibleHulk the comic]] changed Robert Bruce Banner to David Bruce Banner, and the character would call himself by his first name, instead of his middle name. This was due to the [[ExecutiveMeddling network thinking]] Bruce sounded "too gay", as well as the head writer wanting to ditch the "comic booky" AlliterativeName trope.
