Marlowe PI: The numbers given as inaccuracies under Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale were, ironically, WAY off. The human eardrum is more like 10mm (a little less than half an inch), not 3-4 inches, and human sperm are about 55um (about 0.002 inches), not "at least a quarter of an inch."

Ununnilium: I know that's not Arc Words, but what is it? Do we have a trope for cool background details?

Looney Toons: Easter Egg, if we have an entry for it.

Ununnilium: The Bender pic disappeared. >> I'm guessing it was on a remote server that booted it off?

Turanga Leela is named for the Turangalîla symphony by Oliver Messiaen; it's on one of the DVD commentaries.

Andrew: Someone deleted my two line entry for the movie. That's fine, assuming you just didn't want something that subjective. But we really should have something written about it beyond simply noting that it was, in fact, made.

Andrew: Maybe I just have too much journalism training, but I'm a big believer in avoiding extraneous words (and sentences) whenever possible. Adding "This Troper liked it" after the short description of the movie is completely unnecessary. The description acknowledges that fan reaction was "mixed." That word implies some liked it, while some did not. This isn't the Senate, we don't need a roll call vote.

Mr Death: Took out the example for Compliment Backfire, because it was clearly meant as an insult in the show.

Andrew: I don't care enough to make an issue out of it, but I think "clearly" is an exaggeration, especially considering the compliment/insult came from clutzy, insensitive, basically well-meaning Amy.

Mr Death: Listen to her tone of voice. The emphasis is on "women's." Amy may be clutzy and well-meaning, but she is antagonistic toward Leela on other occasions, and as far as I can tell, she almost always means the implied insults.

Objection. —Document N

Mr Death: I concur. Zapp's a pervert, certainly, but there's nothing chivalrous about him. Nuked the entry.

Data Cable: How is it a Channel Hop for reruns to appear on another network (or two)?

SonicPanther: Not sure about how Adult Swim counts, but the movies-split-into-episodes that Comedy Central airs were actually ordered by the network as "13 new episodes", so that probably counts for one.

priopraxis Omnicidal Maniac(s) , Precursors ? Ancient Astronauts ? Are the first 2 two spoilery ?

Haven: Why is "Into The Wild Green Yonder" considered a Bittersweet Ending? (Aside from the fact that, well, it's over?)
Why is it notable that Zoidberg is a Jew and a non-kosher animal? Humans aren't kosher, either.
  • Humans do not get kicked out of robot Bar Mitzvahs because they are not kosher

should Hermes referring to accounting as tallying bananas count as a third catchphrase
Jumpingzombie: God yes! They got all of the voice actors back.
Tem Borjigin: Shouldn't there be a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming for Fry's saving Leela from the bee and staying with her for two weeks?
Cambdoranononononono: Removing Fry's Angrish bit because he says stupid things like that regardless of whether he's angry.
Peteman: I don't think Leela qualifies for God-Mode Sue. Perhaps Jerk Sue, given her tendency to abuse her friends with zero repercussion, but lots of characters do jackass things.
