has been done an injustice by being placed on this page. He's never been a particularly sleazy or otherwise unsympathetic character.
As for appearance...yes, he's pudgy. But that's not quite as much of a synonym for "hideous" as some people may claim.

What is the female eqivelent of this?
The classic ploy in detective stories is that the women swooning over the detective are some variant of the Vamp or the Femme Fatale; they have ulterior motives. I haven't read much more modern stuff so I don't know if the detective has morphed into a true Kavorka man (hence no edit).
Mr Fluffykins: If Henry Kissinger is good enough example to be this page's picture, shouldn't his entry be more substantive?
Grev: Isn't the key to Kavorka Man that there are no redeeming qualities, including attractiveness, about him? If so, there are quite a few examples we could take out, like Joey and Sven. Those are just straight Casanovas
Is it just me or are a lot of these examples pretty hot? Especially Gendo; not only is he handsome, he's a magnificent bastard too. I thought the point of this trope was that there was no real reason why girls would want him? Being powerful/a magnificent bastard is a pretty good reason, I'd say.

- * Jayne from Firefly. He's not exactly bad-looking, but is no Casanova, personality-wise. Admittedly, most of the women Jayne seems to go after are whores and/or women enamored of his reputation as the "Hero of Canton."
I don't see it. He's not bad-looking, as stated, and doesn't have an unusually good batting average if you exclude what he paid for.

This article seems like a war between two related but different meanings for Kavorka Man. 1) An unattractive man who inexplicably, seemingly magically, gets plentitudes of hot women eg. Kramer from Seinfeld 2) An unattractive man who gets plentitudes of hot women, for reasons that are easily explained as charm, intelligence, power eg. Kissinger
