I remember reading on this site on something about the Church of Scientology kicking the IRS's ass concerning their tax exempt status. Would that be a subversion?
Meta Four: Only if the situation were set up so the audience initially expected the Scientologists to cave to the IRS. Since that's what Subverted Trope means.
