There are people who don't seem to be reading the trope description before adding to this page. This is not for sequels that everyone thinks is bad. "Contested", derived from the word "contest", means a disagreement. Some think it's bad, some think it's good.
Please stop adding entries that don't fit the definition of "contested". Put them in "Sequelitis" or something instead.
Bonsai Forest: The anime examples don't give a reason as to why they are contested, so if we don't know why and have nothing to go by, they may as well not exist. I deleted them, and they were put back 2 minutes later. I seriously think examples that can't be backed up don't belong.
