I've seen another fanfic reference the main "Halloween World" story by spaceman, and after taking a look at its page on This Very Wiki, I was intrigued enough to check it out. I'm sad to say, it was a massive disappointment. The author clearly wanted to create a massive crossover world full of all kinds of characters from all kinds of media, but they lacked the skill to tackle an idea this ambitious.
The first chapter alone introduced over twenty characters in the blandest wiki-recap "name-backstory-powers" way possible, and the next chapter easily doubled that amount. None of the characters introduced are particularly memorable (I personally only remembered characters from the franchises I knew, which was... maybe one tenth of them), which makes it hard to keep track of (or care about) them. The writing itself is amateurish, and while it's entirely possible that it gets better later, I gave up in the middle of the second chapter and simply wasn't invested enough to continue reading.
Maybe the spinoff fics are different, but the main story put me off enough that I didn't even bother checking them out
