I have a question about the Meta Casting entry — I don't think it's meta casting as much as it is Actor-Shared Background, especially because AFAIK Falcon has a different backstory in the comics than episode 1 indicates.

Meta casting is about casting an actor with similar life experiences to the character once those details are written. Since Mackie was cast years before these details were written, it's definitely more Actor-Shared Background (or even Actor-Inspired Element)

This seems to be more talking about why Bucky should have won the fight and doesn't really have anything to do with the Worf Effect. The Worf Effect is having a new character beat up an established tough guy to introduce the fact that he's a threat. This scene is more of a final showdown between well-established characters.
