Now, what I think about the Hays Code is that it's wrong. And to people like Dr. Ted Baehr (and the rest of Movieguide) and the Brannan family (specifically Tiffany Brannan), stop trying to get Hollywood to re-instate the Code. It died a merciful death and they'll never bring it back. Will Hays was nothing more than a lackey of Warren G. Harding who just wanted to do something to get everyone to stop focusing on the Great Depression and the Teapot Dome Scandal (which he was involved in no less) Besides, the Code is racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic shlock, not one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written. And while I think the MPAA ratings system could be a bit more strict with violence, I'm glad the rating system's here and the Code is gone. What do you guys think?

I'm not saying the Hays Code wasn't extreme, but I don't see why a character is somehow less virile and badass because they don't drop a Cluster F-Bomb. Because hey, if you're not blasting out profanities like it's going out of style, then you're a pu-...er, I mean a wimp.
