[previous stuff deleted, changed my mind, but:]
Is Trigun more Diesel Punk than Steampunk to anyone else?
Edited by 38.114.86.50I've got a question. I keep hearing that the Dark Horse translation of Trigun and Trigun Maximum was bad, but I'm re-reading it, and I'm not seeing a problem. Could someone care to explain this to me, please?
Hide / Show RepliesSounds like a rumor. But I can't confirm or deny anything without talking to someone who has seen original language and translation. Honestly this is the first I have heard about translation issues.
Who watches the watchmen?I was considering adding a section at the bottom of the page for the movie, or perhaps I should make a new page entirely? What is the usual protocol?
In the Anime, Nicholas uses 2 Crosses. One is just the pistols in the sides, the center does not have the trigger, it's filled in. After a while it is replaced, without mention, by the Punisher model, which does have the center trigger. The punisher's sides never open, and the first model's top and base never open. It is not the same weapon.
Should Moral Event Horizon really be moved the YMMV page? It's discussing the trope itself in a general, objective fashion rather than a specific instance that would be subject to YMMV.
Agh. Trisak, please do not add Natter. You aren't supposed to converse on the main page. Also, character-specific examples go in the character sheet.
How does making a villain sympathetic make them a Villain Sue? "Villain Sue" refers to their power and abilities. It has no relation to how sympathetic a villain is. Go to Anti-Villain and maybe Alas, Poor Villain for that.
I'm considering writing a Trigun fan-fiction with a whole new cast of characters, with the time-line set several centuries after the end of the series and set within the manga's continuity.
The main character's weapon would be, to me, sort of interesting: It would be shaped like a Cross Punisher, but along the long end there would be blades, so that the CP can be used as a sword-like weapon when not firing machine-gun bursts out of the long end or grenades out of the short end. Basically, it's a hybrid of the standard CP, Squall's gunblade, and Guts' BFS.
And the character's fear-inspiring name? "Cobalt the Gun-Blade" (after his blue trench-coat and the aforementioned weapon).
What do you all think?
Edited by JusticeReaperI've removed a liberal amount of material from the page, including most of the spoilers. Let this be a lesson to follow guidelines better in the future. Mid-sentence spoilers are really, really annoying.
See you in the discussion pages.Does there really have to be a spoiler tag over every single name? God, it would take the whole day to fix it. Can I get some help here?
Why isn’t there a drinking game section or we able to create one? I got a few:
Take a shot everytime Someone says "Vash, The Sampede" "The Humanoid Typhoon" or "60 Billion Double Dollar", bonus if they say it all in one sentence
Take a shot everytime Meryl refuses to believe Vash, the Stampede is him or when she confuses someone else to be him.
Take a shot everytime Vash runs into Milly and Meryl
Take a shot everytime they get into some confusion where Vash, The Stampede must get them out of.
