Well, I see the kick starter banner so I suppose you were busy and missed the personal message. So I will just leave this inquiry for later. Why was every reference to professional wrestling was removed from a description of a trope primarily used in professional wrestling? The description wasn't even long, so that can't be used as an excuse.

You guys can do whatever you want, including ignore this topic, but an explanation would be appreciated.

I am guessing it was removed because it was unnecessary medium-specific information. I am not privy on the reasons, though.

I'd hardly call attention to the fact that masked wrestlers can pull if off too unnecessary information.

And it is not inherently medium specific. Professional Wrestling has it's own folder, yes, which is almost entirely filled with examples from matches put on in front of live audiences, but on this very page, Xena: Warrior Princess, a decidedly different studio format, that none the less is still a professional wrestling match, as well as Wrestle Angels, a web comic. So maybe it's genre specific but since when has that been an issue? If anything, I'd be more skeptical of the examples that have nothing to do with wrestling or do not resemble the professional wrestling trope, which this is, given it is the Trope Namer for not just tag team twins but Tag Team too.

Ingo and Emmet from Pokémon Black and White are visually distinct and don't try to fool a referee by switching places when he isn't looking. I really think this misguided effort to make every page as "universal" or "streamlined" or whatever as possible leads to this kind of thing. I get Tropes Are Flexible, I get that other professional wrestling turns, Heel Faceetall have been snow cloned to hell, that this can appear outside of professional wrestling matches but this is a professional wrestling trope and acknowledging it as such is good way not to let tag team become the same snowy mess.
