I am removing this:

Toy Story 3 has Lotso. After believing he was spurned by his owner (who loved him more than anything in the world), he becomes a G-rated Straw Nihilist who rules Sunnyside Daycare with an iron fist.

As the example itself acknowledges, there is no indication of anything external possessing Lotso. He is just a toy like the rest, just very embittered. This trope is Sealed Evil In A Teddy Bear, not Evil Teddy Bear.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.
