I'm confused about this trope. Both its name and its description in the Competition Index imply that it refers to competition in general, but the trope description here refers exclusively to advertising. Shouldn't it be named something like "Rigged Product Contest" instead?

"Burger King ran a series of ads where they had people in different countries try both a Whopper and a Big Mac with the people who had picked the Whopper appearing in the ad. The problem? Many of the countries were poverty stricken and did not mine and eat meat."

What does this example mean? Don't both burgers have meat? What does mining have to do with anything?
