I've pulled the "Geth, Paragon Choice, Really?" topic on the grounds that it isn't actually a case of Fridge Logic or a plot hole, but rather a vehicle for someone to rant about the geth. That sort of discussion belongs on a forum or blog. Headscratchers isn't a soapbox.
Good news, everyone! While the endings still are sub-par, the Extended Cut fixed them up a bit.
Destroy: As far as we can tell, the Geth and EDI are still all dead. But the Mass Relays are, in Hackett's words, only "severely damaged," and it's implied that they are repaired. He does the ending voice over, discussing how it's great that everyone allied and now they can repair everything. Other scenes are added of the Reapers toppling over on other planets, and some Alliance soldiers fighting off husks. The Normandy still crashes on that planet, but after they add Shepard's name to the KIA wall, it flies off. The planet has 3 moons, like the Stargazer planet. Interestingly, the montage of people who were lost creating the peace does not include Shepard's burning helmet, like in the other endings.
Synthesis: Similar circumstances, except EDI does the voice over, and talks about how she's really alive now. The Reapers fly off of all of the shown planets, and the husks fighting the Alliance soldiers seem baffled by what's going on. Everything else is pretty much the same.
Control: Ascended Shepard does the voice over, and talks about how it will defend life. Shots of the Reapers glowing blue and repairing Earth and the Mass Relays.
Hide / Show Repliesweird thing, I took destroy, and in the montage of people lost, I did get the helmet. (which sent me into hysterics, because my EMS was over 7000 and I specifically took destroy so that my Shepard would live.) I did get the breathing in the rubble scene afterwards, though, after Kaidan didn't put my name on the wall.
The page is too long and needs to be split again. Should we just archive everything except the most recent topics, or try and actually sort them out by category? I prefer the latter, but it's annoying to implement.
