I edited out the Take That!. I don't know what else you want or how you think this is still a Take That.
Furthermore, I submit that your opinion of funny is not necessarily equal to everyone else's and that your personal view on the matter may not apply - in addition to which, it's difficult to call something that's IN THE GAME ITSELF a Take That! coming from me personally.
As well, if you cannot present a good enough case to back up your argument, I will have no choice but to continue readding my entry until my hands fall off.
That would be Edit Warring, amendeus. Don't do it. Give Komodin time (a week, say) to come back here and respond before doing anything. No, people are not allowed to remove entries because they personally aren't amused. Yes, people are allowed to remove/discuss entries like this one (this one possibly being borderline).
Personally, I think that the entry in its edited form can stay, but wait before re-adding it. Be careful in your Edit Reason not to make personal attacks.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Okay, after rewording the entry to be less vehement, I added it back in.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I have removed your edit, as it is purposefully confusing and degrades the original point, in addition to the fact that nobody here agreed on your doing such a thing. I would remind you that you do not have absolute control over this page and that I am still awaiting your reasoning rather than your rash actions.
I do not wish to start an Edit War, and am willing to give you a week to collect your thoughts. I am trying my best to remain civil, though repeated provocation is making it more challenging all the time.
Okay, exactly what about my rewording is "purposefully confusing?" It's essentially the same point: that those who don't like the series' supporting cast would find the intro cutscene where they're basically deleted from existence to be humorous.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I suppose it's not "confusing" so much as "poorly-worded". I just didn't want to sound nasty by saying so. And your edit was not in any way agreed upon before you posted it.
And if it is the same point, then what is the difference? You have STILL not given me a reason why my entry is a Take That!, after I have asked you several times. I want to know what part is my personal jab at the characters.
You know what... I concede. I'll add it back in; this has gone on long enough, and I... honestly have no presentable arguments.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Thank you. I suppose I have to admit that you are the bigger man. I also apologize if I was a little too personal at times.
Edited by amedeusThis isn't an example of Take That! so much as the related trope Take That, Scrappy!.
It's hard to read the scene as humorous under any criteria other than that, as the scene is not played for laughs. And that's where the conflict starts, because not everyone agrees that the characters in question are The Scrappy, let alone deserving of their fate.
Edit: Wow, I chose the wrong time to post that.
Edited by FalconPainEh, to be honest, I got rather personal with my edits, too. I apologize for that.
Oh, and by the way, dial down the sarcasm a smidge. Overt rudeness could get you suspended...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Do you mean me? I was being honest. I probably wouldn't have manned up and stepped down in any scenario not involving a mod forcing me to. You acted as the bigger man, and I admire that. I would be unable to do the same.
Wow, this discussion has gone really well — it has civility, understanding, concession/compromise, apologies, and so on. You're to be highly commended for it, guys.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
Removed this entry from the page:
This reads as an unfunny Take That! aimed at the supporting cast.
