I've got an example in search of a trope, I think: SPOILERS AHOY
Royce does make fractional compromises to his "abandon all ye who can't keep up" policy...strictly for Isabelle. I get that, it's Morality Pet. But what about when he urges her to abandon Edwin? He pleads with her, nearly yelling "We can still make it!" He cannot bring himself (in that moment) to stay, but he's clearly frustrated and desperate to make her come with him. It's got shades of We Can Rule Together, in that he's offering her a place at his side in the world of heartless Combat Pragmatists, but it's not totally evil.
So...what is it?!?!
(If you can't tell, I think it's a great scene in the movie and may have spent a lot of time over analyzing it.)
Screaming along at mach .2 with my hair on fire. Hide / Show RepliesI don't think it's got anything to do with We Can Rule Together since, well, he's not planning to rule anything. He just has the hots for her, probably.
Yeah, I should have expressed that better. I meant he's sort of trying to bring her over to the Dark Side.
Edited by callsignecho Screaming along at mach .2 with my hair on fire. What Dark Side? He's not a Sith Lord. He's just a guy who's trying to survive, and he's got a thing for a fit female, so he wants her to survive too.
That...actually makes sense. And is totally in character for that pragmatic asshole.
So...what's the trope?
Screaming along at mach .2 with my hair on fire. He's compromising his pragmatic ideals but not entirely willing to give them up.
Erronious entry in Absurdly Sharp Blade, the axe Royce used wasn't bone. At 1:37:28 on the DVD, when he picks it up after the Pred shoots Isabelle with his wristblade, firelight is reflecting off the entire axe, from blade to the entire length of the handle. And the head is molded in some way, it's clearly metal, probably a single piece. I'd wager it's a Pred weapon he found in the camp, or something they took as a trophy from something else they dropped onto the planet.
Edited by RhyvurgOne the page for characters can we add the Super Predators. I mean we have Classic Predator but none of them so should we add them?
Alternate Character Interpretation on Hanzo, I've heard that individuals with extensive tattooing can lose the ability to efficiently thermoregulate, is it possible he stopped because he couldn't run anymore?
Edited by Ninjat126 Hide / Show RepliesSounds like WMG to me. (shrug)

Pulled:
Hot Amazon was transplanted to Amazon Chaser. There is not enough context here to tell if this is misuse, or a good example. If these characters are attracted to her because of her Amazon-ness, please return it to the main work page under the new trope name.
EDIT: Nevermind, the character sheet answered my question.
