"Tawnalover 2019: As ashamed as I am to admit it, I used to be a big fan of Mr. Enter's reviews. Before he went political and crazy, I really enjoyed how he would tell it like it is in the most sarcastic and humorous manor possible. Though, after his Nick-O-Rama project rubbed me the wrong way, I had started to see him as the hack he was. What made me give up on him once and for all, though, was his list of the Top 10 Worst Cartoons of the 2010's where he listed Family Guy as the worst cartoon on that list. Now, regardless of whether or not you like the current state of Family Guy, it premiered LONG before the 2010's. 1999, to be precise. But apparently, Mr. Enter's hateboner for the series made him forget about that little detail. That would be like proclaiming the 2004 Special Edition Star Wars DV Ds to be the worst movies of the 2000's. Sure, they made some changes I don't like, but they don't make me forget how a calendar works!"

Im pretty sure Enter has stated in the past for countdowns he counts the episodes that released in that particular decade. As such can we call this entry valid?

Yes, because he mentioned nothing of the sort for that particular list.

˄The above is the ramblings of a stupid kid who wasn't paying enough attention to what Enter was saying, a.k.a. me under my previous account. Please disregard it.

SWF Max: Enter says, "I have 3 words: the Pac is back." However, that's false; "the Pac is back" is 4 words. Come on, Enter; it's not difficult to count how many words there are.

SWF Max? I don't know if it a minor nitpick but I don't think he using this trope is good enough for an explaination...

There are a few entries that outright lie, such as claiming Mr. Enter PERSONALLY INSULTED the child voice actors in Little Ellen. Um, no, he did NOT, criticizing voice acting is NOT a "personal attack" on the actors themselves, and claiming that "[Mr. Enter claimed] that Canadian cartoons are the reason why people make fun of Canada.", Um, NO, he did NOT, in his Wayside review, he said that Canadian ANIMATION had a bad reputation because he considers much of Teletoon's output to be bad, NOT that Canadian animation is the cause of jokes about Canada in general, and of course, there's the entry where they complained about Family Guy being on the worst cartoons of the 2010s list just because the show as a whole STARTED in 1999, when I'm pretty sure Mr. Enter has made it clear that multi-decade shows can end up in those lists.

I get why his views on COVID and his Turning Red review were hated, but it feels like people are just looking for excuses to complain about his views.

"No, Mr. Enter. You have a condition. There is a difference."

Ummm yes he is disabled, autism is a disability. Like I agree with the poster that Enter's take is pretty shitty in that "I am disable therefore I can speak on behalf of ALL disabilities", but it is pretty shitty of OP to try to invalidate John just because his disability is invisible especially since it's pretty hypocritical for him to be criticizing John's inaccuracies only to show he knows jack shit about autism

But John himself said Autism is "a neurological condition." Are you saying he was wrong about that?

How is a condition mutually exclusive with a disability or mental illness? They are distinct terms in medicine, but they overlap.

I've noticed that KrazyTVWatcher seems to have two entries: one for "Everyone Knows it's Bendy" and one for "Pet Sitter Pat".

Does anyone else think the following posts should be removed on the basis that their flat-out lying about what happened in the videos?

"Legal Assassin: Up until "Homer Badman" and the video following it up, I personally thought that Mr Enter did a good job tackling serious issues with "Screams of Silence" and "Peter-Assment." He knew what he was talking about and addressed the issues with all the seriousness that they deserved. But then came this review and I was raising an eyebrow. He basically demonstrates that he doesn't really know about rape culture (which is made all the more frustrating by his "Peter-Assment" review, which made it clear that he knows about the double standards about women assaulting men), citing the statistics regarding rape as bullshit, asserts that the very imperfect justice system can be trusted, and doesn't seem to realize the stigma against rape victims who don't fit into the "perfect victim" mould. This is best shown when he scoffs at the "men should be taught not to rape" line because everyone already knows not to rape. It ignores the fact that 1) the line was originally a rallying cry against the notion that it's the woman's responsibility to prevent her own rape, as many pamphlets on rape tend to have more detail on how not to be raped than what rape is or what consent is, and 2) while everyone knows what rape is, many have different ideas of what it looks like, the most prevailing being "woman gets dragged screaming into a dark alley by a complete stranger and is raped," and that we should broaden our view of what it is. Overall, while I agree with Enter's point about not jumping to conclusions I feel the argument was one-sided and didn't acknowledge the other side."

This poster goes on & on about about Mr. Enter not talking about things even though he did talk about them & then he gets mad at him for not being sexist against men on the basis that the first (not the first) time the line (about teaching men not to rape) was said, it was in a nonsexist context so that somehow makes it not matter in any of the other cases.

"abby-anne: While the review of Homer Badman was pretty tasteless, the follow-up video was even worse. Within the first few minutes, he acknowledged the elephant in the room - Bill Cosby being accused of rape by tens of women and still being defended - and claimed it was irrelevant because, y'know, he doesn't want to bring politics and current events into a video where he dismisses rape culture. He followed it up by brushing off a plea for him to re-evaluate what he said because it came across as villainizing female rape accusers. He argued that everybody knows that rape and sexual harassment are bad, so we should offer more leeway to the accused and painted his critics as Straw Feminists. While Mr. Enter had said a few mildly sexist things in the past, this episode was so deeply misogynistic that I haven’t watched anything from him since."

This liar whines that Mr.Enter is sexist for not making the episode more about women than men & pretends the episode was just bursting with mysogeny even though Mr.Enter repeatedly emphasize the point that gender is irrelevant because rape is universally bad.

These people clearly just wanted excuses to complain about a video they didn't like but couldn't come up with a real criticism.

Edit: Here's another one.

"Literal Novice: His needless incessant rambling aside, there is one moment in his review of "Brian's A Bad Father" that stuck out to me like a sore thumb, which was his overreaction to the gag about slitting wrists. It seems like he's under the assumption that a 14 year old is going to watch it and know how to slit their wrists like soccer moms whining that kids playing Grand Theft Auto is going to turn them into murderers. The people that watch Family Guy would be more likely to mock cutters than become one themselves. And even if a depressed 14 year old did come across this scene, I highly doubt it would start them cutting. I was a depressed 14 year old once and I came across images on the internet making similar jokes, and that didn't make me want to grab a razor. If anything, it made me not want to cut myself because of how pathetic it seemed. If Steven Universe or Adventure Time made a joke like this, it would be callous and gross, but it's quite in line with Family Guy's sense of humor. His anger over an edgy joke is honestly kind of pathetic and even a little bit insulting to insinuate that 14 year olds can't differentiate between fiction and reality."

Mr.Enter never implied that people would suddenly decide to cut themselves for the first time after reading this. He explicitly said that the problem with the joke is that it's directed at suicidal 14-year-olds who already wanna cut themselves & it teaches them how to effectively kill themselves while simultaneously mocking them for it.

Even if he did talk about the issues, I think the judgment of just how well Enter balanced both sides in a video about rape culture is subjective enough that the entry is valid. Nothing in the entry claims that Enter didn't talk about the issues at all (it just takes the stance that he misinterpreted statistics and/or contributed to an unhelpful narrative), nor does the entry even suggest "Homer Badman" was "bursting with mysogeny [sic]," it just criticizes Enter for rhetoric that can be taken as misogynistic.

I think the Family Guy one is a little bit of a stretch, but I don't think the post's claim about the distinction is that much of a distinction from what you said his criticism was.

Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

jaredthedecimator: I used to be a big fan of this dude. But then I watched his review of "Space Circus", and, as a huge follower of Hanna-Barbera, I shit my pants. Not only is it full of unforgivable research errors (he says that H-B doesn't deserve the hate they get, and completely invalidates this statement by saying that they created Rocky and Bullwinkle, when everyone knows it was Jay Ward who did that), what really solidifies this video as a D Mo S is his criticisms of Hairy Scary. Enter released this video only two weeks after Hairy Scary's voice (Hanna-Barbera mainstay John Stephenson) died from complications of Alzheimer's, so it kind of settled in the wrong part of my stomach.

I don't think it's fair to judge him for what is essentially a "Funny Aneurysm" Moment. Plus, he was criticizing a character John Stephenson voiced, not Stephenson himself. So it's especially unfair.

Light Tiger Peace Grail Race: As loyal as I am to Mr.Enter, there's one particular moment that rubs me the wrong way. It's the moment in his Princess Promenade review where we meet Spike's G3 counterpart. Inoffensive, right? Then he says this: "Oh well, he's still a dragon, and he's still a dude, so atleast they got that right". Um...what?? How, exactly, does a previous generation get a design of its successor wrong? I get it bothers fans when an adaptation changes a character's gender, but this line makes no sense. It's like if I went back in time and drew a prehistoric animal. Then people would look at the drawing and compare it to the modern day counterpart of the animal, talking about the details I supposedly got wrong. Mr.Enter, I love you, and I understand you dislike G3, but could you please think through your criticisms so fans don't get confused?

Don't you know that there was a Spike the Dragon back in the 80's show too?

The best character is always the one-shot disguise.

One moment per troper.

  • I Am Not Beast again: Also, speaking of people not thinking things through, am I the only one who noticed how loaded with Unfortunate Implications Growing Around is? This is not the premise of a fun Saturday morning cartoon, this is the premise of a dystopia novel. It's a world where you gradually lose your rights as you age. You start out with the same rights as any adult in the real world, then you gradually become less and less independent. Children are in charge of adults, adults are the slaves of children, and the elderly are the slaves of slaves. Am I the only one who finds this concept horrifying beyond belief? By the way, if "it's a cartoon" doesn't work as a defense for when Spongebob does something horrible, it shouldn't be used to defend this either.
