I don't want to remove this, because it may just be Early-Installment Weirdness, but this isn't true. Morpheus refers to her as Death at least twice: talking to Alexander Burgess at the end of the first issue, and threatening Desire at the end of The Doll's House. The first may just be him using the name Burgess used, but there's no such explanation for the second.
