I dunno about that either. As far as the series goes, Luka still presents as male despite appearances, so this seems to be more of a Dude Looks Like a Lady case than outright transgender.
Luka is always the first to correct when people misgender him and has a mail conversation dedicated to explaining what exactly makes him so uncomfortable about being mistaken for a woman. Here's a far more detailed account on the matter by someone somewhat involved in the game's official localization.
Okay, that makes sense. I have only seen the anime where she clearly presents as transgender, whereas I see that it’s different in the visual novel, and since the trope pages are the same for both I was confused.
Shouldn't we add a bullet under The gift for Reading steiner because as what happened in the movie? Like blessed with suck, or something like that (I don't know if there is any other trope that would fit it better)
Edited by 82.231.62.36Pulled:
- Pettanko: Maybe only in the anime. In the VN there's a couple of scenes showing she's not that flat-chested.
- Pettanko: Keeps the same bust size even after changing gender.
Pettanko is not a trope. UsefulNotes.Pettanko is a fanspeak term definition only. The tropes are A-Cup Angst (girl is sensitive about her lack of size) or Petite Pride (girl is proud of her flat-chestedness). Anything else is not a trope. Please return this example to the page under the correct trope if (and only if) it fits one of those two tropes.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
Should I go ahead and change all items relating to Luka to use she/her pronouns for her? It seems rather inconsiderate to consistently misgender her on the page, fictional character though she may be.
