I understand, but it was already discussed and agreed on, so to change them you must open a new thread to discuss it. Besides, official English translations use male pronouns and we mostly follow it, even if it could be wrong (such as the official romanization of a character's name)
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upCan someone please tell me why exactly Yamato can be referred to both as “she” as well as “he”? People tell me to use manga material instead of vivre cards, but even then, the manga itself has Yamato referred to as Kaido’s daughter as infoboxes, Oni Princess, and even Sanji nose bleeding over Yamato in the bath like he has with previous women. Sanji also openly refers to Yamato as the feminine “Yamato-Chan” in spite of the he/Kaido’s son.
I don’t take issue with the page using “he”, but what I and I’m sure many others can take issue with is people cherry-picking and choosing what they want to accept and just push aside other information that doesn’t line-up with their viewpoint even though all the info comes from the same source, because if Yamato’s actions are very much taken into account, then Yamato doing things like being accepting of Sanji saying “Chan” should be too, or can that be cherry-picked away too?
Can someone go through Yasuie's entry and do some fixing? It incorrectly states several times that he ate a failed SMILE fruit, while Word of God (via the Vivre Cards) confirms that he never ate one. His smiles are all genuine.
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- The Jester: He is a taikomochi, a male geisha and the medieval Japanese equivalent of a jester.
Removing it is fine, he's described as a Taikomochi only in his introduction panel, but afterward he proves to be something very different
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upIt's a bit silly but, since You Gotta Have Blue Hair is nearly omnipresent in Wano (since Oda wants the series as colorful as possible) and is already covered in the "general" folder, should we remove the examples in the characters folders to avoid redundancy? After all, every example is just "X's hair color is Y" without any particular meaning
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upOk, so we split Kanjuro's tropes into the spy folder to avoid spoiling others... should we bring them back into a single folder after the anime reaches the reveal? Otherwise it would be like having two folders for Lucci and Kaku
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give up Hide / Show RepliesI'm against it. This is a far bigger spoiler that Lucci's and Kaku's reveals were. We spent a lot longer with Kanjuro before his big reveal than we did with Lucci and Kaku.
Yes but, for instance, a good chunck of Kanjuro's tropes are either subverted or discussed further with the reveal... Well, just a suggestion, and there still a whole year before the anime reaches this point
Edited by fishysaur There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upAre Kamazo and Kyoshiro Examples of Two Aliases, One Character?
Hide / Show RepliesConsidering how big a spoiler that is, I am unsure how to put it in the page unless we split it by alias, or make the page spoiler free.
I say we keep the two aliases separate for now. The reveal is too recent.
Maybe wait until the anime reveals it to add it
Edited by fishysaur There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upthis page is becoming pretty massive, if it grows more I think a split will be necessary. In case, I suggest the Kozuki family and retainers could get their own page
