What do people think about moving Lust to the Main Characters section? She has about the same screentime as Scar, even with way less backstory detail.
(Not sure if people will see this, but thought I'd give asking a shot. Don't want to make a big move like that without any consensus.)
Edited by peronaNot to be a stupid grammar nazi, just bringing it up to see if it even matters, TECHNICALLY speaking, alliteration is only alliteration if it occurs with consonants. And Edward's names start with "e"s. Sorry, I wouldn't even know this to be true if I hadn't have gotten it wrong once for my english teacher to explain to me.
You are a lovely human being.Okay, I was hoping not to bring a discussion here, but I have a small problem with the zero-content example. I don't disagree with it, most tropes do need to be explained in full. However, a few tropes speak for themselves.
For example, Edward Elric has an Alliterative Name, but that's commented out... but why? We see the name up there, both parts start with an E. Does it really need to be restated? And that goes for pictures too. We see in Scar's portrait that he's a Dark Skinned Blonde, so the information is already there in an illustration.
I'm not trying to rile anybody up, it's just... I can't really wrap my head around reinstating information that can't be explained any further. It feels too redundant to me.
Hide / Show RepliesThe site owner has stated that all examples need context. A bit of redundancy isn't bad; an example should be self-sufficient, and not rely on something that might change down the road. Some people also browse with images turned off. In addition, it sets a confusing example; Zero Context Examples are forbidden except when they're not? There's a reason the policy was instated to begin with.
Then in that case, I'm just going to have to agree to disagree and let the job be handled to somebody else. It's just something that irks me too much to fix personally.
That's fine. This is volunteer work, after all. Just keep in mind that appearancce tropes are not just about appearance; there's a reason the appearance is chosen.
Just a news flash, because it apparently needs to be said even though it shouldn't: If you haven't seen the 2003 anime in a while and don't want to re-watch it to see if your criticisms are correct, you shouldn't be editing the 2003 pages. If you really think Izumi had less screentime or plot-influence here than she did in Mangahood, you can't have really been watching/reading either one or the other. It's really obnoxious to see the same half-baked, facts-wrong-all-over-the-place "criticisms" from Tumblr popping up over here, too.
Edited by 155.41.38.31Recently just made a lot of changes on the article- mostly on Dante and Eickheart's tropes. Originally I wasn't aware (kind of went through it quickly) that zero-entries weren't allowed, so I've added descriptions to them because I do feel both of them really were missing some very notable tropes that I felt should be on their pages. Also changed Dante's image to hide her Grand Theft Me picture of Lyra and make it so you have to click on it as I felt it basically spoilered her Walking Spoiler too easily once you know who Lyra is. Is everything acceptable?
Hide / Show RepliesLooks good to me at a glance. If there are any problems, well, this is a wiki, meaning they'll (hopefully) be sorted out in due time.
I'm thinking of adding Badass Adorable to Wrath's entry. He does have a fanbase who find him to be cute and huggable, even with his psychotic tendencies. I mean...maybe badass is debatable*]], but he's a screwed-up Momma's Boy who's voiced by the same person as Honey.
Mod moved from Characters.Fullmetal Alchemist Anime per discussion here [1]
