My entry on the Elements of Harmony / Rainbow Power and the Crystal Heart was deleted on the basis of them allegedly never being shown to be impractical In-Universe, even though I listed several reasons to the contrary.

It was deleted for two reasons:

There were no, more practical, alternatives for dealing with such high-tier threats presented in-story.
Talking/Transformation Is a Free Action means the latter "flaw" has never been a problem in-story.

In short, it was the only practical thing for the job they do and any potential flaws are ignored per Rule of Cool, which Awesome, but Impractical is a subversion of.
