• Overshadowed by Controversy: Even though some of the evidence was a bunch of lies and was fabricated by Jason, and the "Sparka Furryton" account being nothing more but a decoy with Sparka's alleged "suicide attempt" being nothing but a complete decoy and lie, the creators (Dan P. Lyons, Alexander Mortensen and Darren Pipster) were exposed for pedophilia and grooming as they notably hired minors to work on projects that feature sexual content and fetishes, explaining why there are many "fat" characters with humongous bellies (examples include Kody Dendan, Gideon Fredericks and especially Bunty Roo from the movie). These days, the questionable fetishy and pedophilic behaviour of the creators are the first thing people know about whenever anyone mentions either this show or its creators.
• Padding: The series is absolutely notorious with the amount of padding every now and then. Examples includes the infamous sleeping episodes and in The Rodfellows Movie, especially during the ending heroic medal ceromony, the presenter individually goes through practically every character involved in the final battle sequence. It cuts to a shot of them being handed a medal with their name with the audience cheering over the character mentioned. This goes through 22 characters and goes through the same reused animation of the crowd celebrating. This lasts about three and a half minutes and the scene ends after the last character awarded.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: This show receives a lot of flack for being a ripoff of The Bedfellows due to similar name and premise about Funny Animals in a slice-of-life comedy. Also, while the latter is an adult show, the former is aimed at kids.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The creators intend this to be something for kids, yet its fetishistic nature, what with the fat bellies and such, is apparent.
