• Awesome Music: Close Your Eyes by fictional artist Gary Page. The music styling would have certainly been at home either or both of the New Wave and Goth Rock music genres of 1982.
• Crosses the Line Twice: In one scene, Mahmud begins hearing the word "Jew" being peppered in his family's everyday conversation and he imagines himself first as a Hasidic Jew and then as a concentration camp prisoner holding a bagel before the scene swings completely towards the nonsensical as Mahmud imagines himself in a tutu riding a Star of David into the night sky.
