"Dear Vikings:":

• Fanon Discontinuity: This is widely considered one of the most boring episodes of the show.

"Ditchin":

• Do Not Do This Cool Thing: For a story where the moral is "stay in school", SpongeBob sure had a lot of fun cutting class, and only raced back to the classroom when he witnessed an ex-con man who used to cut class getting arrested, paranoid that he would go down the same path.
• So Okay, It's Average: This episode is considered this by many fans. There are some interesting moments, such as the tar-pits scene, and the different locations make the episode more exciting. But the episode is somewhat similar to "Hooky," and has a bad moral. Also, Patrick suddenly disappears without explanation after badminton.
