  • "The Card" for Patrick's reckless stupidity and obliviousness to Spongebob's concerns.
• Never Live It Down: Patrick's line: "Spongebob, you can't always expect my usual brand of stupidity. I like to mix it up. Keep you on your toes." has left a permanent scar over his character with people holding everything he's ever done is as Obfuscating Stupidity.
• Rooting for the Empire: Many fans were wanting Spongebob and Patrick to lose the wrestling match in "Krusty Krushers" as they did not deserve to win and they would finally figure out what Mr. Krabs was really doing.
• The Woobie: Spongebob in "The Card" having to deal protect a priceless card from being destroyed by Patrick's outrageous stupidity.
