• Broken Base: "Friendiversary" has a very divided reception. Some love it for being the biggest Continuity Cavalcade of the series, organizing an entire plot around SpongeBob and Squidward's past adventures together, with the ending in particularly being a very unexpected Call-Back. Others, however, feel that the episode just doubles down on season 13's usual problems with overly Deranged Animation and SpongeBob going from just being naive to flat-out actively enjoying every time he horrifies and injuries Squidward.
