YMMV / Seriously Weird

  • Cult Classic: Aired on an obscure network in the U.S., but it still has its fans. Ryan Cartwright was even surprised to hear an American fan mention the series during an interview.
  • Dueling Shows: The series bares some similarities with the earlier Big Wolf on Campus. James A. Woods notably played a similar bully character in both shows.
  • Fanon Discontinuity: While fans don't exactly hate or ignore the second season, many like to pretend the first season's unnamed finale is the proper series finale compared to the far more episodic, yet actual final episode, "When Harris Broke Out." It also helps that Claudia finally warms up to Harris in the end, but goes back to being a witch in the subsequent episodes.
    • One issue with this is that the second season started playing up the idea that Harris and Fenella would be a couple. To be fair, the last episode still has Harris and Claudia on a date, with Fenella not caring whatsoever. Thanks to this, Harris/Fenella shippers might prefer to think of "When Harris Got His Groove Back" as the last episode.
  • H Ilarious In Hindsight: A socially awkward boy gets powers from a weird portal and must fight the forces of the supernatural. He is aided by a nerdy boy who wears a hat and a witchy goth girl who is secretly in love with him. The hero's in love with a snobby Alpha Bitch and is bullied by two jocks, one of whom is nicer than they let on. The supernatural always causes him to end up embarrassing himself. Let's just say Harris is much more unique than the other guys.
