- Designated Hero: Tengai in Sengoku Blade for US, Korean and European versions, in which the game is even renamed as Tengai putting him as The Protagonist.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Koyori outside the series. Kaen inside the series, the only villain that appears in more than one game and even has her own figure◊.
- Fanon Discontinuity: Sengoku Cannon is considerated as this because of its dull gameplay and not even made by Psikyo (it was made by X-Nauts.)
- Funny Moments:
- Anyone in which Ayin is involved, included not finding his lost sister, even when it's in his OWN house, being taunted by Koyori or having ambiguous endings with Tengai and Shoumaru.
- Also Shoumaru's Oedipus Complex and Koyori's mischiefs.
- Gotta Ship 'Em All: Based on the combination of endings on teams, all characters are shippable, even from the same gender.
- Iconic Character, Forgotten Title: This happens with Koyori outside of shmup circle or not even knowing about Psikyo's titles.
- Launcher of a Thousand Ships:
- Koyori, with everyone (yes, even women). The rescued princess included.
- Robo Ship: Also Hagane, but as a woman.
- Only the Creator Does It Right: In this case, Psikyo. See Fanon Discontinuity.
- Sequelitis: X-Nauts did this with Sengoku Cannon, and it didin't result very well.
