• Fanon Discontinuity: Some fans would like to pretend that the episode never happened due to the entire gang's Jerkass Ball towards TJ.
• Jerkass Woobie: It's revealed that Randall's previous "friends" were actually major bullies towards him and just hearing his Motive Rant towards TJ, you can't help but to feel just a little bad for him.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The entire Recess gang save for TJ. They were nothing but extremely petty and spiteful, to the point they looked more like a psycho ex on the surface.
• Why Would Anyone Take Him Back?: The gang were horribly mean and arrogant to TJ and betrayed him just because he couldn't choose between them and didn't even let him explain why. Even after all of this, TJ still forgives them and calls them his best friends.
