- Broken Base: Taken literally in this case...the game's player base split in two as a result of months long outages, the founder deciding to leave, and one of the admins having been secretly working on their own clone of the game which became Realms of Kaos: Revolution. It wasn't an even split, though, and the original outlasted Revolution by about five years.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: In 2001 the game had been featured in a French language e-zine, and as a result there were a substantial number of French players for years.
