- Awesome Art: Brittney L. Williams' cartoony, animesque style gives the book a more innocent quality, while not sacrificing the maturity of the writing.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The initial storyline ends on a happy note, but with the captions asking Not bad, Patsy — but have you heard of a little thing called Civil War II? While Hellcat's would widely be considered an exception, the event quickly became infamous for derailing other books with forced tie-ins, making it sound like the comic itself is threatening her with a bad tie-in.
- No Yay: Black Cat flirting with Tom while she has him under mind control. Once he's free, he's understandably disturbed by it.
- Tear Jerker: The series started with a lot of focus on Patsy and She-Hulk's friendship, making the issue where Patsy deals with her being stuck in a coma devastating.
