  • Creator Worship: Criticising anything the trio lineup released from 2000 to 2010 is a no-no amongst Black Metal fans. The stuff after Sol Faur and Hupogrammos left isn't as universally worshipped, though it may be undergoing something of a critical reappraisal after Negru's death.
  • Fanon Discontinuity: Everything after Măiestrit, considering some fans don't even think the material after that album should exist, or that it should have been released under a different name.
  • Growing the Beard: Their early recordings were fairly standard black metal (although they still had a Romanian flavour). Măiastru sfetnic was where they established the elements that would truly make them special.
  • Signature Song: "Țesarul de lumini".
  • Tear Jerker: Negru's death at age 42 definitely counts. Some of their songs could be considered examples of this, too; "Cel din urmă vis" and "Plecăciunea morții (acoustic version)" could qualify for some people, for example.
  • Vindicated by History: Vîrstele Pămîntului seems to be heading this way. It was quite divisive when it was first released, but it currently has an average rating of 87% on Metal Archives with six reviews, and it's also pretty favourably reviewed on Prog Archives. The general consensus nowadays seems to be that it's a worthy successor to Om, if not the unmitigated masterpiece the earlier album was. Time will tell if the same thing happens to the band's later works; it's quite possible they will end up receiving the Dead Artists Are Better treatment.
