- Catharsis Factor: In the later chapters, Ocelot and Recovery Girl calling out Aizawa for his consistent unwillingness to do his job, as well as the story addressing Bakugou, Todoroki and Kirishima's actions in the USJ (where the situation was being handled without outside help) - one a common subject of frustration in My Hero Academia fanbases, while the other is based on a What If?.
- Never Live It Down: When Mina and Toru identify Grizzly as Freezer Boy via shipping articles between him and Heart Star, Grizzly is left with the resignation that this will never be lived down.
- What the Hell, Costuming Department?: When meeting Roland and seeing the horrific state of his costume, Snake suggests he gets another costume that doesn't make him look like he's going to die horribly. The man even notes that the equipment he got in the 1960s was more modern than this.
- Likewise, the costume designs for the girls of UA's hero course are more or less the same, with Ocelot wondering how the hell these costumes got past the design screen in the first place.
