• Creator's Pet: Nicodemo Malaspina. His creator adores him, most of the other players and readers... much less so.
• Fanon Discontinuity: Lightning War was created between Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix, leading to the mods deciding to split their work from canon.
• Moe: Alma Greengrass and Ximena Saenz
• No Yay: Nicodemo/Lalage, Florian Leffoy/St John Saunders, Florian Leffoy/Julian Delgardie
• Toy Ship: Florian Leffoy/Kat Loveday, Dalton Marvell/Jenny Mablin
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Carmela García and Poppaea Leffoy-Rosier are portrayed very negatively, but it's hard not to feel a little sorry for them, given the circumstances. To be specific:
  • Carmela García was married to a man who made no secret of the fact that he didn't even like her (much less love her) and openly flaunted his affairs and mocked her as barren. Granted, Carmela did eventually become a spy, but even before she became a spy, she was portrayed as a boring, intolerant Puritan.
  • Poppaea was ignored as a child, has few magical talents, has never been able to live up to her mother's standards, is constantly in the shadow of her older sister, is married to a man who openly lives with another woman and has two children who don't like her and only one friend in the world. Despite all of that, she's portrayed as an bitter old hag.
