- Base-Breaking Character: Law. While some fans find his bitchy antics entertaining and appreciate his willingness to give blunt, harsh critiques, others find him just plain obnoxious and feel that he isn't even qualified to give those critiques in the first place, since he's not actually from Ballroom.
- Elimination Houdini: Season 3's House of Makaveli, which was put up for elimination a whopping five times in seven episodes! After a while, the judges even start to lampshade their Nigh-Invulnerability.
- Shocking Elimination: Like any reality show, Legendary has a fair amount of these, but the elimination of the House of Tisci in Season 2 is popularly regarded by fans as the most baffling and unfair elimination in the show's history.
