- Awesome Music: Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra strikes gold once again with "SPARK", a catchy, optimistic tune that combines the heartwarming emotion of Saber with the ever-energetic spunk of Zenkaiger that also Call Backs to the resonant themes of both franchises wonderfully.
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Kousei Kogami's cameo in the film is a few short seconds serving only to introduce Kamen Rider Revice's name (and to wish him a Happy Birthday).
- Contested Sequel: While the Super Hero Taisen films have a mixed reception from the Tokusatsu fandom there is debate about how Super Hero Senki compares to them. Its fans view as a Surprisingly Improved Sequel that's one of the best Rider/Sentai crossovers to-date, citing its cohesive, well-paced plot and usage of characters. It's detractors criticize it as having confusing story with unexplained fourth-wall breaking elements and an exceedingly underdeveloped villain whose motives and powers aren't ever explained properly.
- Fan Nickname: The Rider Wald and Sentai Megid were immediately called "Another Saber" and "Another Zenkaizer" upon reveal due to them having similar concepts to the Another Riders.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Kaito exclaims how excited to see how the story of Kamen Rider Revice will turn out. Cue Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in which another version of Kaito shuts off the TV on Revice's final episode before the credits even roll.
- Memetic Mutation: Poor Shin. Explanation
- Narm: The use of different voice actors when the original actors don't reprise their roles isn't something new to both franchises, but it is very noticeable here. Many of them don't sound anything like their original actors. Ryuki and Ghost are the biggest offenders, because they have two scenes with completely different voices (first when summoned by Zi-O, then during the final battle). Many people even think GokaiRed was voiced by a woman because of how his voice sounds.
- Special Effect Failure:
- The Truer to the Text Kamen Rider 1 has part of his mullet sticking out the bottom of his helmet. It looks nothing like Hiroshi Fujioka's actual hair.
- Kamen Rider Shin visibly doesn't move during the appearance of all the lead Riders, thanks to being represented by a static mannequin due to his suit being unusable. As a result he also vanishes from the film after the initial lineup shots.
- Tear Jerker: Hongo is clearly trying to hold back Manly Tears when greeting Shotaro at the end of the movie, since he came from a time long after the latter's death and meeting him again shouldn't even be possible.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
- While Kamen Rider 1 in his original costume appears in this crossover, the original costumes of both Kamen Rider 2 and Skyrider never appeared at all.
- Asmodeus is the Big Bad and was apparently a member of the Sword of Logos before leading a rebellion against them, but he receives very little characterization and his motives aren't explored beyond him wanting to rid the world of heroes.
- Unexpected Character:
- The Early-Bird Cameo of the main protagonists of Kamen Rider Revice will be in this film, making it a first for making the cameo of the next Rider in a crossover film between the two franchises (though it's worth noting that this film was released in place of the usual Rider/Sentai double feature, which is where the new Rider generally debuts). Then there's the identity of the protagonists themselves; what was assumed from the poster to be Kamen Rider Revice and his secondary is in actuality, the first time that two Kamen Riders have shared the title of protagonist since the original series with 1 and 2. The fact these two riders are named Kamen Rider Revi and Vice, the latter being in a monstrous pre-Rider form, also brings to mind Ultraman R/B.
- The Imagins coming back isn't that surprising. What is, however, is the return of Owner, who hadn't shown up in any capacity since Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever, and has been absent from Rider/Sentai crossovers since Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.
- No one expected Kousei Kougami to appear, with his last appearance being Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max.
- Kamen Rider 1 sporting his original costume when most of his appearances in recent years had him use his later design. Not only that, Hiroshi Fujioka reprises his role out of suit, despite saying that Kamen Rider 1 would be his last portrayal of his character's civilian form.
- The Sentai side of the crossover actually getting a substantial amount of veteran members in a secondary role to accompany the Zenkaigers and requisite gathering of Red members. Shou Ranpou, Raptor 283 and Doggie Cruger respectively hadn't appeared since Lupinranger Vs Patranger Vs Kyuranger and Four Week Continuous Super Sentai Strongest Battle, but are somewhat excusable since they're all huge fan-favorites, Super Hero Senki's writer was involved with those characters and they're easier to get as voice actors. Shiguru Oshikiri is a little more surprising, but he does hail from the series that preceded the Zenkaigers'. But the return that's truly shocking is Chiaki Tani, who hadn't made any kind of significant guest roles since Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z, with his actor having last reprised him in Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle ten years ago.
- So Okuno as Sougo Tokiwa was a bit surprising, as many thought he wouldn't be able to reprise his role right after the Decade vs Zi-O Rider Time specials, as well as working on Chousoku Parahero Gundeen in the same year.
- Guest star Fuku Suzuki plays an important character in the movie. Who is this character? A younger Shotaro Ishinomori, AKA the creator of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai! Who ever thought he would make an appearance in this movie?!
- Ohma Zi-O is a particularly unusual case; while his presence was reasonable to assume (as Sougo Tokiwa already had a role in this film and Ohma is The Faceless), seeing him act as a stand-in for none other than Buddha in the Journey to the West segment of the film is shocking, when you consider his usual portrayal.
- While the possibility of an Akibaranger gear was a given, no one actually expected it to be used outside of Zenkaiger itself, let alone having AkibaRed wordlessly ask Kaito for his autograph in-character. Even moviegoers didn't see it coming since this cameo wasn't advertised.
- Woolseyism: FlameSubs choose to translate the Akibarangers' catchphrase note as "cringe is power", arguing that the modern use of "cringe" in online culture fits the intent of the original catchphrase remarkably well.
