- Catharsis Factor: The Ants fell victim to Chuck Cunningham Syndrome after this episode and haven't appeared since. The audience can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing The Ants won't be missed.
- Fanon Discontinuity: For having the most gruesome death in the entire series (excluding "Wishy Washy" and even then, this episode tops that), it's extremely easy to ignore this episode, especially considering that the ants fortunately make no more appearances after this.
- Jerkass Woobie: Sniffles. While he did attempt to kill the whole ant family and destroyed their home, most fans find his death so cringe-inducing that any thrown away sympathy they had for Sniffles immediately came back.
- Karmic Overkill: While all the episodes in which Sniffles tries to eat the Ants qualify, this one takes it up multiple notches. Sure, the anteater is trying to swallow the Ants again and destroys their home (rather intentionally or notnote ). The problem? The Ants respond with horribly torturing Sniffles in gruesome ways even for a franchise like this and give him easily one of, if not the, worst death in the whole franchise.
- Moral Event Horizon: The Ants had always pulled sadistic, disproportionate Cold-Blooded Torture against Sniffles, but they ultimately cross the line here when they use his mind-controlling machine against him to put himself through a brutal Mutilation Conga.
- Never Live It Down: Sniffles's death scene is so brutally over-the-top, even by the show's own standards, that most viewers tend to disregard the rest of the episode.
- The Scrappy: Have a guess. Thankfully, The Ants are not seen again after this episode.
- Tear Jerker: What the ants do to Sniffles. The fact that he even bursts into tears during this certainty makes it hard not to shed a tear for him.
