• Anvilicious: The religion/belief theme gets dropped a little heavily in quite a few places.
• Fanon Discontinuity: Despite the fact that the half-human revelation from the TV Movie has been largely ignored by fandom, the Doctor seems to actually be half-human in this book.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: Averted. Some fans found the Sam in love with the Doctor subplot to be this, but after the events of Seeing I, Sam seems to have gotten over him.
