Molang is a French/South Korean Animated Series by Millimages.
The show centers around Molang, a white bunny, and Piu Piu, a little chick. Each episode revolves around the duo and the various antics they get up to.
The show ran from November 2nd, 2015, to December 27th, 2019, and has no relation to a certain Swedish video game company.
Molang contains examples of:
- Agony of the Feet: In "The Jam Jar", Molang tries to kick down fruit from a large tree, but ends up bruising their food, prompting them to soak it with water.
- Ambiguous Gender: It's pretty much impossible to tell the gender of any of the characters. Even when they wear clothing it's impossible to be sure one way or the other. It may be that this is on purpose. As it turns out, it's Subverted when the website revealed that Molang is gender-neutral.
- Black Bead Eyes: Everyone in the show has little dot eyes.
- Blush Sticker: Molang and Piu Piu had these.
- Chickenpox Episode: In "The Chickenpox", Piu Piu gets chickenpox (bonus points for being an actual chick). The doctor warns Molang to keep their distance. At the end of the episode, Molang catches it too, but they're overjoyed because they can spend time with Piu Piu again.
- Christmas Episode: "The Christmas Tree", in which Molang and Piu Piu need to find a new tree after Molang throws Piu Piu's into the fireplace.
- There's also "A Beautiful Christmas Tree", which involves Molang and Piu Piu trying to move a huge tree, and then having to help Santa get his reindeer back after they make him lose them.
- Growling Gut: This happened to Molang twice in "The Delivery Men". At the beginning and at the end.
- It happens to Molang again in "The Castaways".
- Halloween Episode: "The Pumpkin", in which Piu Piu gives their pumpkin to someone they thought was Molang, and then has to get it back when they find out.
- One-Word Title: Molang, of course.
- Protagonist Title: The show is only named after Molang, even though it stars both it and Piu Piu.
- The Unintelligible: The language spoken in the show seemed to consist of cute gibberish, though some words can be determined by knowing the context. (eg. "gracibo" means "thank you"). Also, a lot of the words sound like words originated from multiple European languages,
you can pick up traces of the languages in their speech if you have some proficiency in the languages. - White Bunny: Molang, naturally.
