"Así será Tadeo Jones 3" (This is how Tadeo Jones 3 is going to be) is a Web Video parody of how Aitor Molina Vs. thinks the third installment of Tad, the Lost Explorer is going to be. It's also the 33rd episode of the show and the first on this What If? section.
You can read the full treatment of the plot here.
"Tadeo Jones 3: Lost in Atlantis" is avaliable here.
It contains examples of:
- Accidental Misnaming: General Temato is once misnamed as General Tepego (I-beat-you).
- Atlantis: The main place of the film.
- A Wizard Did It: The excuse given for any contradiction with the previous films.
- The other is "characters being retard".
- Bigger on the Inside: Tadeo and Tadea's suitcase, which carries all the comic reliefs.
- Brick Joke: The Leviathan in the end looks exactly like the one in the mural..
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: All racial stereotypes from previous films disappear with no given explanation.
- Clone Degeneration: In the end, "Tadeo Tadeo", also known as TõT.
- Coca-Pepsi, Inc.: Foca-Cola (Seal Cola).
- Composite Character: General Temato is presented as a literal example of the villains from the previous films.
- Dance Party Ending: It's an animated film, of course there is.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: Averted, this film has at least the mother alive.
- Deconstructive Parody: The video lampshades plenty of clichés of commercial Spanish animated pictures.
- Deliberately Monochrome: The Leviathan, both in the mural and in the third act.
- Foreshadowing: The Leviathan is teased in the mural of the beginning.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: The workers insult Tadeo in so many ways that you have to pause to get everything.
- General Ripper: General Temato, even it has a similar vibe.
- Gratuitous Foreign Language: Dasuiso speaks Catalonian.
- Green Aesop: Polluting water kills merpeople.
- Heel–Face Turn: Temato's henchmen join Tadeo to stop the Leviathan.
- Hilarity Ensues: Every exposition scene is followed by "wacky hijinx", which is supposed to encapsule Tadeo's personality.
- Humongous Mecha: The giant submarine turns into one to fight the Leviathan.
- Kraken and Leviathan: The mural in the beginning teases one of them. A Leviathan is fought in the third act.
- Lampshade Hanging: Expect plenty of Take That! to overused clichés.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: General Temato is Tadeo's father.
- Malicious Misnaming: Some characters are purposely misnamed, like Tadeo's girlfriend being called "Tadea Croft" instead of "Sara".
- Mind Control: How the Trident controls the Leviathan.
- My Friends... and Zoidberg: The girl from the second film doesn't even receive a name.
- Names to Run Away from Really Fast: General Temato means in Spanish "General I-kill-you".
- Product Placement: Shark Tale levels in the underwater city.
- Pun: Foca-Cola, which means "Seal-Cola".
- Rent-a-Zilla: Temato controlling the Leviathan.
- Retcon: Unlike in previous films, Tadeo's parents are both alive.
- Sequel Hook: All the Tadeos from the ending..
- Sarcasm Mode: How the entire video is told.
- Ship Tease: The Mummy and the Mermaid.
- Shout-Out: All the characters are represented trough renders of other media.
- Spiritual Successor: Of the "How It Should Be" videos by Bandit Incorporated.
- The beginning claims the Tad, the Lost Explorer reviews by Enemil inspired this video.
- Stylistic Suck: Everything is taken from Google Images and turned into renders.
- Submarine Pirates: General Temato and his soldiers.
- Super Not-Drowning Skills: Due to mermaid magic, nobody drowns.
- Swallowed Whole: Tadeo and Temato are eaten by the Leviathan.
- Take Over the World: General Temato's plan using The Artifact.
- Take That!: The entire video, and by extension this article, is towards the saga and most of Spanish animated pictures.
- The Mockbuster: If the first film was Up and the second Aladdin and the King of Thieves, this one mocks Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
- The ending is Pacific Rim.
- Title Drop: "Tadeo Jones 3: Lost in Atlantis".
- Trilogy Creep: The film is marketed as "The Final Chapter", but it has Sequel Hook.
- Underwater Ruins: Where the film starts.
- What If?: Of course, this is not the official third installment. Right?
