Act Promptly
is an improv comedy gameshow hosted on Twitch and YouTube by Ellie Spectacular and Thempress Bee.
It provides examples of:
- Bait-and-Switch: Jordan's take on the "Dragons" prompt starts with him lamenting the lack of gold, damsels, and lairs in the current economy. He then states what he, as a dragon, is doing nowadays: fishing, loving it to the point of discarding the old dragon ways entirely.
- Disproportionate Retribution: When Gibson reveals he wants pineapple on his pizza to Jackson, Jackson throws him into a meat grinder to make more sussy stew.
- Fun with Acronyms: The Ache-ronyms miniact revolves around this, the contestants having to make up meanings for acronyms and use them in a sentence.
- Politically Incorrect Hero: Stitch is displayed to hate Texas to the point of trying to leave mid-speech. Eventually, he convinces Lilo to let him speak the truth... to which he admits that he also hates the French, saying that they need to die.
- Shipper on Deck: Inverted in the "Star Wars" prompt, which is to ask random passersby to outlaw the contestant's least favorite romantic Star Wars pairing. Jordan interprets this as having a passerby sign his petition to kill Glup Shitto so he can't be paired up with R2D2.
- Skewed Priorities: Batman becomes more focused on the Joker's podcast and the fact that he wasn't invited than the people he's plotting to dip in molten cheese.
- The Tape Knew You Would Say That: The "Private Argument" prompt is of a guy arguing with the song playing on the radio, and the result is Robby making up lyrics that immediately refute GQ's points as soon as she brings them up. At the very end, it warns her of an oncoming truck coming right at her... which was actually the case.
