Most of the different scenarios are Tom and Jerry’s past lives.
And in the episode “Say Cheese”, Tom imagining the characters from them are just his past memories sweeping through his bad cheese trip. Or, the detective episodes happen after the suburban episodes.
A fight between Spike, Tom, and Jerry that went too far could cause them to leave for the city (like in the 2021 movie), which is why Spike is also shown living by himself in an apartment in some episodes. And maybe in-between Tom and Jerry both decided to try to put things past them and form a detective team (but not without still fighting time-to-time). The segments with Tom and Jerry in a spooky house/village/forest are in the same world as the witch segments.
Either before the witches got Tom, or Tom and Jerry left them wanting to live somewhere else.
Alternatively, all the other segments besides the ones in Rick and Ginger’s house are a show within a show.
In “Going, Going, Gone Viral”, Tom and Jerry get viral on the internet due to viral videos of their chases, the end showing they’re now popular around the whole world. If the whole world still couldn’t get enough of them, they could have maybe gotten a deal for a tv-show (like some famous viral YouTubers have in the past).
And the ending to the detective episode “The Last Laugh”, shows them all on a set with a live studio audience. Plus one episode had Tom in a magical, spooky forest, but in one scene he accidentally fell down a well, that led to a modern-day normal aquarium, before falling back in to the forest (maybe because it was a set?).
