The ending will involve the hybrids going out of control and spreading chaos over Japan, possibly due to losing their minds and going feral.
Considering how the author enjoys reusing plot elements between stories and how Jackals, Arachnid and the prequel arc of Caterpillar all had a Trash the Set ending, this development seems very likely.
  • Building on that, the way it would play out, might be having Shidoh reveal that he changed the procedure so the resulting Brutes wouldn't go sterile from it. And that he distributed "genetic materials" (aka Brute sperm and eggs) out on facilities across Japan, ensuring the birth of natural born Brutes all across the country, with no way of telling them apart from the humans until they reach physical maturity. Cue a army of Brutes tearing Japan apart once their powers do trigger and no clue how to handle them.
  • The endgame of the series is building up to an invasion of velociraptors being used as a worldwide Depopulation Bomb. It kicks off in chapter 116.

Mai Shinozaki's Brute is a...
  • Kangaroo. (Great jumping strength, strong legs, killer kicks, and protective nature.) Seems fitting.
    • Practically jossed since one minor antagonist during the second arc is already a kangaroo.
    • She has been established as a fox-woman in December 2019's chapter.

If Nodoka wasn't originally a human and had fake memories, characters like Hitomi, Pure and Koyomi might be the same as her, too.

The Origin Brutes came from outer space.

Everything's the fault of Serena Cervantes From Himenospia™. Again.
